That’s Bonneville for those of you that don’t know me. I am finally putting the Pontiac to rest. Now this is at the advice of Patty, my trusty front office lady at the auto shop. And I didn’t even know the ole girl (Bonneville) was hurting that much.
Well its on to a new car chapter of my life. Prob just another beater for me. They are the only cars that suit me. For those of you that know me, you know I do not prefer fancy things. So my car is no different. It gets me from one place to another. I try and take care of them, but sometimes things happen. Wish me luck. And look out for a car with a ridiculous amount of Local Movement stickers on it.
Oh and did I mention the Phillies made it to the World Series? Yeah, thought I might have.
Well the first week is over and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. I did my exercising, ate a lot of chicken and rice and drank tons of water. It helps that I work inside a recreation center. Seeing fit people and people trying to get fit is definitely motivation.
The hardest part is making sure you make time to exercise. Because you know the food part will always be there. I mean, does it look like I have ever skipped a meal? Anyways, the key is to find times in your day to do something. That can be running before or after work, or it can be something as easy as doing push-ups while watching Gossip Girl or Sportcenter. Or while watching the Phillies make it into the World Series (an entirely different story altogether, go Phils).
So I am feeling energized, I am feeling better. This healthy lifestyle is working for me, if not growing on me! So if anyone is doing the same thing with me, keep on keeping on!!
I have made a life change. I decided to go check out this much talked about, sometimes hyped about, healthy lifestyle. This is a lifestyle that has been around every fat consuming, calorie inhaling corner of my life. And now, as good as any, is the time to take the extra steps and take a peak at this lifestyle everyone is raving about. This blog will be your way of checking in on all my progress. I will start off by saying I am destined to fail this mission. I have tried it before, and some of you may remember, actually succeeded. Well to a certain degree. I believe in order to really live a healthy lifestyle you must sustain it. So this is a second chance.
Ok the facts:
I am 27 years old
Throughout the upcoming weeks, I will update you on my progress. Obviously the first two facts listed above will not change. And obviously I will not just be blogging entries with my weight. So I will telling you what I am doing on a daily basis. This means my exercise, my diet, and my moods. Because everyone knows that when you make such an intense change to your diet, mood swings are inevitable.
Ok so Day 1 was yesterday. I went to the gym after work. I used the circuit for my chest and arms for 45 mins. I then ran 1 mile on the treadmill. I know, I know only 1 mile? No one said this was going to be easy. Baby steps right? For breakfast this morning I made an Asian omelet. Which just means I mixed in some rice and vegetables into my eggs. Not too bad.
Keep checking back DAILY!!
People have always said you learn from the mistakes you make. With this is mind, I guess it is fair to say that I have learned a lot during my time on this earth. Now the argument on whether the things I have done are mistakes or not is still very much up in the air.
That’s not the point. The point is you need to stand behind your decisions, good or bad. It is ridiculous to think that you will always make the right decision every time. But as long as you believe that what you are doing is right; then no one can tell you you are wrong.
This blog didn’t really have a beginning and it seems like it won’t have an ending seeing that I have no idea where I am going with this. I just want to remind everyone that you need to just make yourself happy. You will sleep better at night knowing that. I will never try to convince you that I have all the answers, I just have my answers. Which means what is right to me. I understand that does not work for everyone but it may help move you in the right direction.
Remember, we must be the change we want to see in the world. It starts with us!
I was very excited about the CBS televised Elite XC fight between Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock. However, I forgot about it while watching the Phillies Game 3 Saturday night. Well luckily for me I could not sleep because of the loss and while channel surfing I came across the fights. After the first two fights they starting talking about Slice. It turned out that Shamrock pulled out of the fight due to a cut above his eye. Most likely caused during training. Shamrock has always been an intense fighter and that goes back to how hard he trains, so it is no surprise this happened.
But what is surprising is Slice’s new opponent entered the arena to prepare for his fight, which originally was scheduled for the under card. This was a fight not even to air on CBS. Well, they asked if wanted to fight the main event. They asked if he wanted to fight Kimbo Slice, the legendary back yard brawler and You Tube icon. You would not be wrong to think this kid said ‘hell no’ and took his regularly scheduled fight. But this kid, Seth Pertruski or something like that, knew the importance of this fight. So he took it. And in about 25 seconds, Seth gave Kimbo Slice a cut above his eye, similar to the one Ken Shamrock suffered I am sure, and knocked him out. The ref stopped the fight and in the ring was this dyed pink haired kid who just knocked out Kimbo Slice. Fate? Luck? Does it matter? I don’t think so. Kimbo still draws huge crowds and a huge rating. He will be fine. However, old Seth P might never again live up to the hype he has caused by knocking out the back yard legend.
A abbreviated blog if you will…
I am in Richmond for work so it does not leave a lot of time for blogging but I did want to mention it was a fairly productive weekend for Philly sports.
The Phillies won again, and got a birth in the NLCS against the Dodgers. This could be a good thing seeing the Phils swept them in Philly. However, if you remember correctly the Dodgers also swept the Phils in LA. It should be pretty exciting.
The Eagles did lose to the Redskins. They are in a grove. Well both teams are. Niether will last in my opinion. The Eagles should not lose more than three more games and I can not see the Redskins finishing over .500. We shall see….
